We're hardly telling you something revolutionary here, but when we became mums we realised how critical sleep was to the happiness of our families.

With kids in the mix, the range of sleep challenges suddenly took on new dimensions. 5am wakeups, battles for daytime naps, summer light making bedtime difficult...

We soon discovered the importance of dark rooms in creating the optimal sleep environment to give our kids the best chance of great quality, longer sleeps. BUT the blackout blind options we found were ugly, failed to stay up, required complicated installation, and didn't fit our windows.

The idea for Bilby Blackout Blinds was born:
